Take some time to enjoy the beauty of God's creation wherever you are!
While daylight was short-lived, I did take the opportunity to venture outside of our hotel for a little while. The hotel overlooks a small lake with houses surrounding most of the lake. Almost each house had an airplane parked outside the residence. That is something I don't typically see on a day by day basis here in Wyoming. While the lake looked pretty all covered in snow, I imagine the beauty during the summer would warm a person's heart. I have seen much of God's handiwork in the last week from the air and on the ground. I saw the Grand Tetons close-up on Sunday from the ground. Yesterday I flew over them and saw them from the air. The snow-covered peaks were majestic. The clear skies provided some beautiful views from the air all over the mountain west as we made our way to Anchorage from Denver. Three mountains were visible in Washington as we approached the Seattle airport. The pilot named them for us. I remember Mount Hood and Mount Adams, but don't recall the third. Their snow-covered peaks stood out immensely from the surrounding landscape.
