"I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12)
I stopped in the cathedral yesterday afternoon for a visit and was struck by the light shining through the window onto the crucifix. It reminded me of the Easter Vigil when we enter the church in darkness but fill it with light from the Easter Candle and sing, "Christ our Light!" Walking into church at the right time of day with the sun at the proper angle shining so profoundly on the crucifix was a blessing to me. it reminded me that my focus needs to stay on Christ at all times--especially when life is hard.
