Upon my arrival at St. Anthony's Parish I was greeted by the pastor, Fr. Lucas. (Center in the picture above) The second person I encountered was a TV reporter from News 13 located in Casper. While not prepared for a TV interview immediately upon my arrival, the reporter and I had a good 10 minute conversation. He was genuinely interested in what we were trying to accomplish by this interfaith prayer service. Our efforts seem so futile when we emerge from prayerand almost immediately hear of another disaster.
During the meeting we were updated on all of the good things taking place because of the efforts of Magic City along with corporate and governmental institutions providing employment opportunities for our clients. In the midst of the violence in our world, there is still a lot of good that is present. The part I play in this particular endeavor is small, but I am grateful to be a board member of Access Homes, Inc.
My day finally drew to a close just after 9:00 P.M. It was a long day but a good day. I will be back in the office tomorrow to clear up the things that accumulated today and then it will be back to Casper for the weekend.
Spend some time praying for the victims and their families in today's shooting. Pray for an end to violence. May God have mercy on us!
