More than once I have had someone express to me that they don't believe hell exists. We then enter into a discussion about the accuracy of the Sacred Scriptures and the specific references to hell. If we can agree that the Bible is the inspired Word of God we can then move into further discussion. If we can't agree upon the role of the Scriptures it becomes difficult to find a common starting point.

Isn't it time we take our faith journey seriously? We can go to a casino hoping to win big. The odds probably favor the house in that we walk out as substantial losers. Losing hard-earned money is bad enough. Are we really willing to bet our eternal well-being on the premise that hell doesn't exist?
