As I am invited more and more frequently to journey with others in their suffering, I understand even more profoundly the need for the gift of hope. That is the gift offered to us by God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. That is the gift I want to help spread by God's grace. It has been my own experience of suffering, and walking with others in their suffering, that prompted me to write about my personal journey of healing. The end result was the publishing of my book, Articulating Hope.
It is now time to have the first kick-off event since having my book published. Obviously, the appropriate venue is at the Cathedral of St. Mary. I did not finalize details in time to get an announcement in this week's bulletin, but there will be one the following week. This is my advance notice to all those in the Cheyenne area, including parishioners at St. Joseph's and Holy Trinity. See the announcement below. I look forward to seeing many of you on Monday, November 13, at 7:00 P.M. in Hartmann Hall at the Cathedral of St. Mary.
Articulating Hope—Deacon Vernon Dobelmann will give a one-hour presentation on the theological virtue of hope on Monday, November 13 at 7:00 pm in Hartmann Hall. This presentation coincides with the release of his new book by the same title. His book will be made available after the presentation. If you are suffering or hurting in any way, this event may provide the spark of encouragement you need to keep moving forward in God’s grace.
