We all face difficult moments in our lives. A diagnosis of cancer is certainly one of those moments. The road to survival can be challenging but I want to offer a word of encouragement to anyone who is currently in the midst of the battle. Hang in there. Seek that resilience from deep within yourself to keep going a day at a time. Ask the Lord for an abundance of strength, grace and perseverance.
I was asked by Mariah Ellis, the reporter, why I come to events such as this since I am finished with treatments. My answer is a simple one. I am a symbol of hope because I survived. However, getting the opportunity to verbally share my message through the local TV station was an extra blessing. Through my teaching, preaching, and writing I connect with a particular audience. Today's interview enabled me to reach a wider audience as I continue my mission of ARTICULATING HOPE!
