It was a great week in Cheyenne.  I am grateful for the opportunities I was given this week to experience Cheyenne Frontier Days in more depth than I ever did during the previous nine years when I lived there.

Lori Schoene from ANB Bank invited me into their box one day.  I am grateful to Jess Ryan for joining me and introducing me to many people throughout the course of the day.  It was a blessing to meet so many people actively involved in making the community a better place to be.  I have really come to appreciate the leaders in this region who strive to give back to their communities in profound ways.

I am grateful to Ward Insulation and Concrete Lifting for providing me with an inside look from a different perspective on another day.  I appreciate Carter Ward for making this possible.  I also want to thank Tyler and Maria Ward for giving me a close-up look behind the scenes to help me understand the many facets of the rodeo. The organizational details behind these ten days of festivities is quite extensive.

What do we do now?  Since Cheyenne Frontier days is over, I recommend we get back to work at our regular jobs!!!

The last ten days were full.  My agenda is full for the next ten days as well.  Due to the generosity of Charles Schwab (Sam Runyan-Independent Branch Leader), I will begin making a television commercial this week for United Way of Laramie County.  This old dog is still learning new tricks.  Filming is scheduled for Wednesday.

I preach on Saturday at 5:00 P.M. and again on Sunday morning at 8:00 A.M. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Fort Collins, Colorado.  As soon as I finish the 8:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday, I will hop in my car and head to the Terra Sancta Retreat Center in Rapid City, South Dakota to lead a retreat for the parish staff of St. Patrick's Parish from Casper, Wyoming.

Once I return from South Dakota, it will be time for our United Way campaign to kick-off at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.

Now it is time for me to be productive before Sunday draws to a close.  (Reading and studying the Scripture readings for next weekend isn't really working on Sunday, is it?)  I'll wait until it is Monday before I work on memorizing my script for the TV commercial.  I know that is work.

Bring the love of God to someone else this week in a profound way!
