The area along Highway 94 in St. Charles County, Missouri is lush and green. That did not necessarily help my allergies while I was there, but it was beautiful to see.
I went to Daniel Boone's Home for a field trip when I was in elementary school. Yes, it has been a few years. I ventured a few miles off the route to see Daniel Boone's Home on Monday. The village has grown substantially since I was there approximately 50 years ago. If you are into history any at all, it is worth a stop. The area along Highway 94 in St. Charles County, Missouri is lush and green. That did not necessarily help my allergies while I was there, but it was beautiful to see. The main structure is pictured in the brochure above, but there are other buildings like this one (photo above) now comprising a small village. As you travel down Highway 94 along the Missouri River, you will get a glimpse of Ameren's Labadie Power Plant. I worked at that plant for a couple of years back in the late 1980's. It was nice to be standing across the river in Klondike Park simply taking a photo. Beautiful churches can be seen along the bluffs of the Missouri River as you travel down Highway 94. I stopped to get photos of the churches near Dutzow, Missouri and near Augusta, Missouri. This little sightseeing trip on my own allowed for some quiet and reflection time.
