It was a phenomenal weekend in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. My wife and I had the pleasure of joining this wonderful group of people for the annual Deacon and Spouse Retreat for the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. It was a pleasure and a privilege for me to lead this retreat, and I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to Deacon Walt for inviting me to this beautiful gathering. The Diaconate Community in Springfield-Cape Girardeau is alive and well. Apparently I talk with my hands! My life was blessed this weekend by many wonderful and gracious people. I give a tip of my hat to the deacons and their spouses in the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. Thank you for your ministry. You are truly the "salt of the earth and the light of the world."
