Five birds are sitting on a limb. Four decide to fly away. How many birds are now left on the limb? Although my photo only shows one, there are actually still five. There is a difference between deciding to do something and actually doing it.
This past weekend we were told to "Be doers of the Word, not hearers only." Are we putting our faith into action? We gather each week to worship together. When we depart at the end of Mass we are sent forth. Quite simply, we exit from the Church community equipped to serve for another week.
