Working on the family farm did not include an hourly wage. It was simply what you did to help the operation make a profit. The work ethic I learned at home was certainly different than what I learned elsewhere. Getting overtime pay was great if there was really a need to be working overtime. Doing shoddy work the first time just to create overtime was something I refused to even contemplate.
Can you imagine what our world would look like if we all engaged in our work for the glory of God? That would be productive--not simply busy!
