It was trash day today. I bundled up this morning and made the trek down the driveway carrying the trash bags to their assigned spot for pick up later in the morning. The frigid temperatures, along with a slight breeze, made it feel like -31 degrees. My face was the only exposed area of my body, but it did not take long to realize I wanted to get back inside as quickly as possible.
These types of days remind me to be grateful for the blessings in my life. I have a roof over my head and a furnace that is working. Furthermore, I am able to pay the bill when it arrives for enjoying that heat. How many other folks are not so fortunate?
