Deacon Mike Leman (far right) used the above photo in his blog posting for today. His thoughts on saying good-bye touched me immensely. (I read it all the way to the end waiting for the punch line. There wasn't one. Wow!) Since Deacon Mike said some nice things about me, I thought I should share the post so others could see it. I now have written proof.
In all sincerity, I share Deacon Mike's sentiments. It is not always an easy task to do the job that is set before us, but it is great to have others shoulder some of the burden when the load becomes too heavy. We have been able to be that extra hand for each other when the load has been particularly difficult. Deacon Mike, I will indeed miss the friendship and the laughter that we have shared. Thank you for the good times, and thank you for the kind words in your blog post of today. What a blessing you have given me today!
