Our world has plenty of problems, but there is also much good.  I was reminded of that multiple times this week at St. Albert Catholic Schools.

Three pianos showed up to enhance our musical endeavors here at the school.  A grand piano and two uprights will grace our music room due to the generosity of others.  Thank you.

As I continued to learn more and more about the school this week through a variety of appointments, I became even more excited at the potential.  There is so much good here that I am simply amazed at the tight-knit family atmosphere in place.  We will celebrate all that is good and build upon it, while we also address those areas where a little improvement would be helpful.  The journey will be awesome!

I am gradually meeting some of the teachers as they pop into their classrooms for one reason or another.  The enthusiasm and joy they exhibit is truly heartwarming.  I look forward to working side by side with these dedicated individuals.

My Friday morning was enhanced by an individual coming in to inform me that a special gift was coming for the Cross Country team.  I won't let the cat totally out of the bag in case it is supposed to be a surprise, but it is a good day to be a runner.

My Friday afternoon was brightened by a visit with one of the teachers who described some exciting things on the horizon for our students interested in the technological arena.  Robotics, 3D printers, and those types of things weren't part of the picture when I was a student, but they are certainly part of the equation today.  These are amazing opportunities for our students to be exposed to cutting edge technology.

Enjoy these days of summer.  Have a blessed weekend!
