Bishop Pates traveled to Council Bluffs to celebrate the Eucharist at St. Albert Catholic Schools on September 11. It was our opportunity to wish him well upon his upcoming retirement. Bishop Pates gave a special blessing all of the new administrators and teachers. On behalf of the entire St. Albert Catholic Schools community, I presented Bishop Pates with a threefold gift. The first was a spiritual bouquet. We wanted to assure him of our prayers as he moves on to the the next phase of his journey. Secondly, we made a donation in honor of him to go toward seminarian education. Finally, we presented him with his parking sign from here at St. Albert.
