Today is the Memorial of St. John Vianney, patron saint of priests and the parish clergy. Please take some time today to pray for the priests serving your local communities. We are blessed in the Diocese of Cheyenne with some wonderful priests serving God's people faithfully. I have the privilege of knowing each of the men in this picture and working with them to build up the Kingdom of God throughout the state of Wyoming.
As I look at the photograph above, I am filled with a sense of gratitude. There really is much to be thankful for in our world amid all of the challenges and dysfunction that is also present. God's love is real. We are blessed indeed.

We are experiencing a little bit cooler weather recently in the Cheyenne area and the geese have become very active in the last few days. It is starting to feel like a shift in the weather and a gradual flow toward the season of autumn. I stood on the porch for a while and just listened to the honking of the geese as they passed by the house. Some came close enough to easily hear the flapping of their wings. What beauty the Lord gives us!
