St. Lucy is the patroness of those who suffer from blindness or other eye diseases.  Let us take some time today to give thanks to God for the gift of all of our senses, but especially our eyes.  Every opportunity to enjoy the beauty of God's creation with our eyesight is a gift indeed.

I encourage you to be filled with hope today.  Look for God's presence in the beauty that surrounds you--people, places, and things.  Do you see God's presence in your family members?  How about your co-workers or classmates?

Don't forget to also look for God with the eyes of faith.  Do you sense God moving powerfully in your life?  Why or why not?

Enjoy these photos from across the country with the gift of your eyesight.  (The photo above was taken in Tampa, Florida.)

loved all your pictures , esp the contrast of the flowers at Hilton head and the mother's day snow 2014 at your house - made me laugh. Have a very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
