The men's retreat in Rincon, Georgia has drawn to a close. It was a wonderful three days in a very tranquil setting. While the rain and cooler weather made some adjustments to our outdoor plans, it was still a beautiful time for quiet reflection in the midst of our Lenten journey.
Upon my return to Hilton Head Island following the retreat, I had two meetings to conduct for the parents of our First Communion students. We also had our regular religious education classes in the evening. My day had begun at 5:30 A.M. and I finally pulled into the driveway at home just before 9:00 P.M. It was a long day but a very productive one.
Now it is time to finish my preparations for the day of recollection on Saturday being hosted by the Women of St. Francis. I look forward to being with the 40 people registered for that event. I am also preaching at the 7:30 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. Masses on Sunday. Thus, I better get back to work.
