A reprieve from the snow, ice, and wind would be most welcome. Quite simply, I yearn for the warmth of summer at this point. As I see temperatures in the 80's in other parts of the country, it makes the 20's feel really cold. Earlier this morning I looked and it was 82 in Miami and 28 in Cheyenne. We had the same two numbers--only reversed. At that revelation I took a cue from the rabbit and went back to bed and curled up under the covers.
Regardless of where you are and the weather conditions you are experiencing, I extend to you my best wishes for a "Happy Mother's Day." Contrary to what society sometimes tries to tell us, motherhood is a very noble vocation. I tip my hat to all of the mothers who work so diligently to nurture the lives of their children and grandchildren. You bless all of us through the tender, loving care you provide to your family. Subsequently, there is a ripple effect that positively impacts our world. For that, we owe you a huge debt of gratitude.
Happy Mother's Day!
