The theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity were the focus of the mission. We broke open the Sacred Scriptures and explored God's mercy and compassion in light of the gift of faith that has been given to us. We took to heart St. Paul's words that "Christ is living in me." Thus, we are filled with hope. We examined the many ways we experience God's mercy in our lives on a daily basis. Finally, we looked at the spiritual and corporal works of mercy to more fully understand how we can be ambassadors of Christ in bringing God's healing touch of mercy to others.
Parishioners from all three Casper parishes were represented at the mission as well as from St. Louis Parish in Glenrock, Wyoming. I am grateful to all who took the time to attend. The crowds grew larger each night. That is a powerful sign that the movement of the Holy Spirit was among us. May each of you be blessed as we move closer and closer to Holy Week and the Paschal Triduum!
