St. Lucy is the patroness of those afflicted with diseases of the eye. She is also associated with festivals of light. While enjoying our physical sight, may each of us also see God with the eyes of faith!
I extend my gratitude today to doctors and all who specialize in eye care. I am appreciative of your service in helping us to maintain eye health so we can enjoy the beauty of God's magnificent creation. Thanks also to organizations such as Lions Clubs who strive to serve those in need of eye care. Your work for the blind is noble.
