Public speaking is an avenue I use to articulate hope and spread joy. It is a privilege to be able to share a message of hope with a vast array of audiences.
As we approach Labor Day weekend, and the unofficial end of summer, I am saddened by the shortened amount of daylight that is now evident. It is a key sign that autumn, and eventually winter, is on its way. If winter was only six or seven weeks long, I would not dread the change. However, the reality is that winter in the west can rear its ugly head for seven or eight months. That can be a bit depressing, especially when the cold air is combined with blowing wind of 40 to 60 mph.
Labor Day weekend--how shall we grasp onto the last days of summer?
