My 23rd anniversary as a deacon was spent quietly this past Sunday. (Much of it was spent in the car traveling from Omaha to St. Louis.) My wife and I were in Omaha visiting our son. Subsequently, we attended Mass for Pentecost Sunday at St. Cecilia's Cathedral. Although I had not made arrangements to assist as a deacon, it was still a fine celebration for my diaconal anniversary as we sought a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Mass.
We said good-bye to our son early on Sunday morning and then made our way to Missouri to visit family. Margaret and I were able to see all of our siblings. We had not seen some of them since prior to the pandemic. I think a couple of them may have aged a little bit with the passing of several years since last seeing one another. Thankfully, I am perpetually young and spry.

I spent some time exploring the campus of Creighton University with my son. Although we lived right across the river from Omaha for over a year, I never took the time to visit Creighton University. It is a beautiful campus.
