The competition for the scholarship each year is rather rigorous. Joseph's participation in the life of the Church as a reader, usher, server, and choir member is just the start. He has also participated in the Junior Leadership program, consistently stayed on the honor roll each semester, been a member of the Honor Society, and has achieved brown belt status in the martial arts. These things were accomplished while also holding down a part-time job. The mixture of activities at church, school, and community have helped him learn the skills necessary for success as he moves forward in life.
We had a good meal and enjoyed the social atmosphere of the gathering at the Radisson Hotel. The ladies of the Bishop's Guild don't get to rest just yet. The priestly ordination of Deacon Andrew Kinstetter will find the ladies once again actively rolling out the red carpet for all the guests and parishioners who attend the ordination ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Mary.
Finally, our evening culminated with an inspirational talk by Fr. Augustine Carrillo. The event was truly a blessing in every way! To each and every lady in the Bishop's Guild I simply say, THANK YOU!
