"Regarding the Ascension of the Lord, the ecclesiastical Provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Omaha, and Philadelphia have retained its celebration on the proper Thursday; all other Provinces have transferred this Solemnity to the Seventh Sunday of Easter."
Thus, it is a holy day of obligation if you live in one of those Provinces listed. Ascension Thursday becomes Ascension Sunday for the rest of us and tomorrow is just a regular Easter weekday celebration.
Please do not miss the opportunity to pray a novena simply because the Solemnity has been moved to Sunday for most of us.
