I began reading a book last week entitled, The One Thing by Gary Keller. Right under the title of chapter one, which is the same as the title of the book, there was a quote in the sidebar from Josh Billings. It said, "Be like a postage stamp--stick to one thing until you get there." Can you imagine what our world would look like if all Christians pursued holiness with that kind of intention and focus? STICK TO IT! Continue to pray. Continue to learn. Continue to grow in love for God and others. Continue to serve.
Do we honestly believe that God's grace can work in us? Do we believe that we are clay and that God can mold us into His image and likeness with the skill of a Master Potter?
I certainly hope that we have that type of confidence and trust in God's power and mercy. We are called to be saints. That is not something we accomplish on our own, but with God all things are possible.
